2026 Q2 Portfolio Prospectus Blue Carbon Projects

The 2026/Q2 Portfolio Prospectus presents a curated portfolio of 42 early-stage blue carbon, nature and resilience projects across 23 countries, with a total capital need of USD 535 million. It provides insight into project scale, geographic distribution, investment readiness, execution capability, and the ways investors, corporates, and foundations can participate.

This edition examines the country conditions shaping blue carbon investment, including market precedent, benefit-sharing requirements, and government approval for voluntary carbon market participation. It also highlights how well-designed community benefit-sharing and verified co-benefits can strengthen project resilience, reduce delivery risk, and support carbon price premiums.

The prospectus is part of the Blue Resilience Capital Initiative, which connects capital providers to a pre-screened portfolio of nature-based coastal investments and is expanding to include funds, outcome-based finance instruments, and sovereign bonds.
