Giulia Guidi is a Senior Advisor at Earth Security. She is a senior expert on environmental, social and governance (ESG) risk management with a deep and extended knowledge of the ESG trends for the financial sector.

In her previous role, Giulia was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, where she spent her last 10 years advancing the sustainable agenda globally and across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on energy and Oil & Gas clients. She led the implementation of the ESG Policy for the Investment and Commercial Bank, and influenced senior executives and clients to meet sustainability objectives as part of their business strategies. Her areas of expertise are business and human rights, as well as conservations and biodiversity. She has a strong understanding of how ESG due diligence applies to different financial products, including green bonds, equity and debt capital markets, trade finance, corporate lending and project financing.

She is well recognised for her positive and constructive contribution in multistakeholder fora and at board level: whilst at J.P. Morgan she acted as a member of the Advisory Group of the OECD Responsible Business Conduct and as a member of the Steering Committee of the Cross Sector Biodiversity Initiative. Prior to that, she worked at the Export Credit Guarantee Agency, managing ESG risks for major project finance transactions in energy and industrial sectors according to the Equator Principles.

Giulia holds a MsSc degree in Environmental Engineer (Rome, Italy) and a MsScEng in Renewable Energy Policy and Markets, Cork, Ireland.
